The crib tents can pose an entanglement hazard and are associated with 27 incident reports from the last 15 years, including one serious injury and one death. The dome portion of the tent can invert itself as well as detach unexpectedly.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the stop sale and recall, in which the following retailers are participating:
  • Amazon
  • Walmart
  • Bed Bath & Beyond / Buy Buy Baby
  • Toys R Us and Babies R Us
  • Burlington Coat Factory

Tots in Mind recalled the play yard tents in July 2010 and offered a repair kit that is no longer available. The company is no longer in business and has stopped all sales. CPSC staff urges parents and caregivers to stop using these crib tents and play yard tents immediately. Do not attempt to repair these products.
