puma jacket recall, kids jackets recalled, me jane girls jacket recalled, recall announced for kids jackets

Although spring time is around the corner, we still need our jackets. But, if your children sport the PUMA USA V-Konstruct Training Jacket or the “Me Jane” and “B-Hip Kids by Me Jane” girls’ jackets with faux fur trim, it’s time to remove those fromthe wardrobe.
Both jackets were recalled for having drawstrings at the waist that have toggles and are not stitched to the back of the jacket. The drawstring could become snagged or caught in small spaces or vehicle doors and it poses an entanglement hazard.
Draft regulation on drawstrings in children’s jackets was adopted in 1996; the following year, those guidelines were incorporated into a voluntary standard, and last year, the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a federal regulation.
PUMA’s recall affects 5,000 jacket; those details can be seen here.
The “Me Jane” recall affects 13,000 jackets and can be seen here in our marketplace.
