Air Venturi is recalling two models of air rifles that can fire even while the safety lock is on.
The recall affects about 100 of the Evanix Speed and Conquest Air rifles in calibers .177, .22 and .25.
These calibers include ammunition commonly known as pellets and BB’s.

Air rifles are often used in recreational and competitive shooting, pest control, and even hunting. Air Venturi isn’t aware of any safety lock being overcome and no injuries have been reported.
These guns are not classified as firearms and are therefore regulated.
Any consumer with the gun should immediately stop using it and contact Air Venturi for a free repair. The customers Air Venturi could identify have already been contacted.
