samsung class action lawsuit, samsung tv settlement, samsung tv lawsuit, samsung settles class action lawsuitA class action settlement notice announced this week entitles some Samsung TV owners a refund of expenses or up to $300 because the TVs don’t work properly.

Reports that Plasma, LCD and DLP television sets by Samsung wouldn’t turn on, made clicking noises, would turn off unexpectedly, would delay in turning on, or had other problems, prompted the class action lawsuit and resulting settlement.

While we’re not aware of a recall for any of the mentioned TVs, a similar story cropped up last fall when Sony provided free safety inspections for its overheating Bravia televisions, but didn’t issue a recall. Customers were upset, but we’ve yet to hear about any class action suits.

If you own any of these models, you could be entitled to file a claim or seek other reimbursement.
