14 lots of Lo/Ovral-28 are recalled.
Ladies, listen up. Pfizer announced a nationwide recall for 28 lots of the pill, and no, we’re not talking about the “little blue pill.”
Akrimax Pharmaceuticals birth control pills could contain too much or too little of the active ingredients used to prevent conception and could leave women at risk of unintended pregnancies.
Women affected by the recall should contact their physician and return their contraceptives to the pharmacy. The recall affects Lo/Ovral®-28 and Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets.
Any adverse events that may be related to the use of these products should be reported to Akrimax Medical Information at 1-877-509-3935 or to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Med Watch Program.
Remember that birth control is a contraceptive and won’t protect against sexually transmitted infections and diseases.
